Last week I opened an email congratulating me for being selected as an LA semifinalist (along with my Crock Tearz painting) in Bombay Sapphire’s Artisan Series. A few months back they featured me and my Eyes Wide painting, but this was completely unexpected. The major alcohol brand has partnered with Russell Simmons’ RUSH Philanthropic Arts Foundation and will be sending the finals winner to South Beach during December’s Art Basel. The winner isn’t simply going, I’ll (claimed blessing) be showing my painting at SCOPE Miami during one of the biggest weeks in art! Blessed is an understatement! I’m definitely excited about this opportunity as showing at Art Basel is a major goal of mine.
