Los Angeles-based Hip Hop artist and a good friend, Thurzday, was one of the first few artists I connected with when I moved to LA. When he recently reached out to me about using my paintings as the cover art for his upcoming Designer EP, I was more than willing; in fact honored. Thurz personally selected my Open Virtue painting as the cover and Eyes Wide for the back/tracklisting. Talk about a blessing! Aside from the fact that my production team has actually been co-producing a couple records with Thurz’s team, the Red Bull Sound Select-backed Designer EP is pretty crazy and set to take his existing movement to a brand new level. The lead single from the project, 21, premiered on music blogs this week and actually featured the EP cover, along with the tracklist. It’s pretty crazy seeing my work on some of the top music blogs! I can only imagine the looks once things really take off! The EP hits iTunes Nov. 4, but you can check the cover and 21 below. Stay tuned for a few music/art events we’re putting together as well.
